I have followed George before he ever became big. He is originally from Poteet, TX and played in country bars in the San Antonio and Austin area in the late 70's. His big debut of course was the early 80's when he hit it big. I remember him when he played in Austin City Limits as well. Check out his main website if interested: George Strait.
